Maybe a shadow passing

Maybe a shadow passing and the shame,
Recalls the stranger standing at the door.
You will remember then and call his name,
And wonder how we’ve never met before.
For in that instant who can scarcely start
To understand this person you’ve ignored,
That his embrace has taken back your heart
And all that’s lost is suddenly restored.
This is the moment when the world is whole,
Where everything has fallen into place.
When life reflects the mirror of your soul,
And shows it cleansed returning back to grace.
A time will come when we will meet again,
A time to heal and wash away the shame.
