Untruths

To face it down,
That stare.
To take up arms
Against the bile of hatred
And to stop the rot.

To listen closely and question,
Those subtle innuendos.
To ferret out the dross
And stop the rot.

To tell the truth
And say it as it is
Without regard to pompous
Indignation.
And stop the rot.

To understand why
Words, used as weapons
Kill without remorse.
From mouths that preach
Insidious sermons,
Cloaked in seductive undertones.

To shift through
The morass of lies,
And challenge everyone.
To not let one slip away.
To stand against
The tide of deception
And stop the rot.
